The Monarch program was formed in response to an infamous quote, "I always wanted to take sign language" (as if it were too late!) Well its NOT!

Many adults had good intentions to take ASL ONCE they.... finished their required college classes, had children, their children were in school, they finished fixing the house etc...... Well, if you are reading this, here is your "ONCE!"

Each eight week term is designed to introduce adults to the basics of ASL in a comfortable and supportive environment. Immediately tension is broken as students convene in the warm, carpeted studio and relax on yoga style backjack chairs.

Introductory Classes Include: The ASL Alphabet Signs for members of the family (Mother/Father/Siblings/Grandparents etc.) Basic introductions and exchange of personal information Numbers Information on how to access events in the deaf community *Classes can be tailored to meet the needs and interests of each class.
