The Sign to Me, Mommy! program includes Caterpillar and Butterfly programs for children, birth through 12 years old. Interesting new studies have shown that children who learn a second language during the critical language acquistion years are better able to understand and integrate the rule systems of other languages. In addition, ASL has been shown to reduce frustration and increase feelings of self-esteem and competency (in Baby AND Parents) as they learn and share a common language.

Because babies' gross motor skills develop before their fine motor skills neccessary for speech, they are often able to communicate their wants and needs earlier using sign language. Parents report astounding results from teaching their children a few basic signs that enable them to report hunger, pain, and JOY! (See Testimonials)

Each 45 minute class meets once a week for singing, signing and socializing with new friends while learning a new language! Each week parents receive a worksheet of Target Signs to practice at home. Parents are encouraged to keep a small notebook to document Baby's progress and record questions for the following week's class.
